Thanks for the link

It’s good to hear. And if the old saying is true – You are what you eat – I presume the Giants have been eating a lot of dontadvancetherunner burgers and swingatslidersinthedirt fries.

"The part of the roster where most of the money is spent, though, is on free agents and guys acquired through trade — guys Sabean did play a big role in acquiring. And they are not good. When you get 2/5 of a pitching rotation for free, you would think you could do better with $76 million than to field the league’s worst offense."

Surprised this wasn't done 10 years ago.

“Thanks a lot Pablo. They took our Coco Puffs and replaced them with veggies thanks to you!”
 Seriously, Mark Grace was saying the other day that Pablo gained 15 pounds during this season.

Also interestingly, I was just watching a vid on YouTube about a Japanese baseball team that switched to a vegan meal programm and went from last place to winning the title the very next year.

When I heard that the article on nutrition in baseball was going to deal with the Giants, I immediately thought, “Oh god, they’re going to make fun of Pablo and Bengie.”

Merkin Valdez? Manuel Mateo? A rose by any other name...

I see a future market for my black bean enchiladas

But they have cheese in them. Dilemma….

Correlation = causation!!

I know you nerds know NOTHING about the real game of baseball, or any other athletic endeavor requiring teamwork under physical stress.

Mark Grace is just angry he gained 30 pounds since the all-star break

"he walked 18; new league record! Struck out 18, another new league record! He also hit the sportswriter, the PA announcer, the bull mascot twice..."

Wouldn't that mean eating gamers?

I realize the Rowand contract doesn’t look great, but I still think his value is higher as a center fielder than as an entree.

I feel sorry for vegetarians who’ll never be able to follow Krukow’s advice and grab some pine-meat.
