East Bay Gathering 9/18/09: Head Count
The date for our planned gathering at McCovey's in Walnut Creek is approaching, so I figured we'd better get a tentative head count so we can make reservations. So, if you plan to be there, or you think there's a good chance you'll be there, speak up. Also let us know if you'll be bringing anyone along with you.
The date chosen was Friday, September 18th. As of the time of the vote, the time for the game was TBA. It looks like it's currently scheduled for 7:10 PM - or so ESPN.com says. Also, it looks like that'll be Jonathan Sanchez's turn in the rotation, although of course that could change. If you weren't aware, the game is against the Dodgers and is being played in LA, so there shouldn't be a conflict with anyone going to the game.

I don’t have an excuse not to go yet. So, for now, I’m in this thing!
Adopted brother of Jason Jarvis.
Well pooh
I’m going to Anaheim with the family that weekend.

Tentative, but not probable. I’ll see what I can arrange.
It's my blarg! Quick Pitch
And I tweet (more often than I blarg).
Thanks for posting this, I was going to do it after the holiday weekend, but with school starting I’m more than thrilled that someone is running with it!
That, and I have no idea whether or not we’ll be able to attend. We’d like to, but driving in from Roseville on a Friday night might not work out. I can see us sitting in traffic on 80 outside of Vacaville for hours!
i should be able to make it, i’m not very well known around here but it’d be cool to meet some of you and discuss why Hot Fuzz is terrible.

Wah. Cannot make it. Will be in MINN rooting for the Cal Bears. Maybe next year.
Gary Darling, go DIAFF.
Sounds great to me! I wouldn’t mind watching Buster catch Tim at McCovey’s!

When is everyone getting there?
Still backing Notgardo, wheresoever he may wander. (Don't forget to wriiiite!)
I will not be there. San Jose State has the Stanford game the next day and we have marching band rehearsal Fridays until 645. Even if I left immediately after rehearsal—unshowered, wearing workout shorts, my dorky band shirt, and sneakers—I wouldn’t make it up there in a timely manner with traffic being a bitch and a half.

Amazing
It’s really something to stand on the field. The place is huge, and they lit the torch sometime in the second half.
Doing cadence on the way in and out was pretty cool too. Everyone there was really nice. I was warned about a hundred times that USC fans would be hostile and violent towards us. Several fans of both teams yelled compliments at us as we left the field.
We also played at the tailgate party with the alumni association down there. It was a fun day all around.
