tells Baggs he never said during the chalk talk that he's picking up Sanchez' option. Unfortunately, she got the part about Velez right!!

I think it is safe to say that that mischievous jponry will not be working for the Giants while Sabes is around.

It’s doubtful that anyone from McCovey Chronicles will ever work for the Giants while Sabes is around.

Sabean's exact quote: "We will undoubtedly pick up his [FSanchez's] option."
This event was recorded, so if any of the reporters want to ask to see it to verify this, they can. I think the comment was made in the second half of the event. FSanchy came up 2-3 times, so listen all the way through the event because it might have come up in another answer. But it is there, and that is the exact quote. Exact.
Forsan et haec olim meminisse iuvabit... Maybe.
OH-- and if any reporter asks to see the tape and the request is refused, I think that tells you something.
This wasn’t a closed-door meeting with confidential information being discussed; it was an event for people who are not employed by nor affliated with the company other than being customers. They should show reporters the recording upon request.

Thanks for backing me up
I was trying to think of what else he might have been saying – like, maybe he meant, “It undoubtedly will not vest” or something but that just honestly was not what he said.

It will be funny if this turns into a semi big-thing, especially given jponry’s username.

I thought that’s how your name was pronounced.

One thing I have always very much disliked about Sabean is hi elitist seeming attitude towards Giants fans. He acts like the CIA being asked about UFOs anytime he’s asked a question. Well, it looks like Baggs and jponry caught him in one this time.
Here’s to Sabean getting hoisted by his own petard!
Giant season effort summary:
Was just enough ensure the Dodgers won the division.
Was just little enough to ensure the Giants lost the wild card.
am left wondering whether hoisted is actually a word.

It reminds me of a combo of “penis” and “retard”, so it’s definitely ok with me.

Any chance we can blow this up to such heights that it ends up with Sabean having to resign? Because I would be all for that.

If Jponry were the Giants new GM, her first act would involve a sit down meeting with Bochy to discuss why exactly Fred Lewis is not “the problem”

probably. But i would love footage of Jponry and Bochy face to face with her trying to convince Bochy that Fred is the Giants 2nd or 3rd best hitter.
