Keith Law actually sorta made the same argument today. Says a hitter who strikes out a lot at least has some level of control of the ball’s future when he puts it in play. Yet supposedly a pitcher has no control over what happens to it once it’s put into play. I guess pitching to location with movement has nothing to do with controlling where a ball goes, in Law’s eyes.

I love to hear Bay Area people bitch about transit. Move to Sacramento…then you can bitch. Most service stops after 6pm, runs only every 30 minutes during the day, and every 60 minutes on nights and weekends – for those routes that even operate. Last time I took the bus I think it was $2 for a one way trip, and extra if you want a transfer.

AC transit $2, transfers 0.25. I rode it last week in the evening, it wasn’t that bad. Last time I used AC transit was about 10 years ago.
