Oh, the irony

I went to opening day this year and received the giveaway calendar. It has been on my wall ever since. I just looked at it and felt I didn't really want a reminder of what could have been so I checked to see if I would keep it up in October...

The player for October is Molina. It's coming down as soon as the season ends.

I noticed this too

Other less than notables, Randy Winn is December 2009 (way to plan ahead calendar makers) and Brian Wilson is a bag of douche

I think its funny. Wonder if he’ll keep up the ‘weird dude’ character in a few months when he becomes a multi-millionaire?

by m34josh on Sep 24, 2009 10:44 AM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

I don’t see him changing. He is extremely confident to the point where he truly doesn’t care what other people think of his and so he is blatant about his weirdness. Not the best character trait in the real world but for a closer with electric stuff I will take it.

Periwinkle is a light bluish color I think?

It is.

I know you nerds know NOTHING about the real game of baseball, or any other athletic endeavor requiring teamwork under physical stress.

It shades toward purple a little (and GIS has actual Periwinkles looking quite purple), so it’s not a true blue. But I’d definitely say “bluish” if my life depended on it and you were talking about the crayon.

Context, people. More context is good. Less context is bad. If you're willing to be reductive, then you're willing to be wrong.

Come on, he’s just being funny.

Brian Sabean strongly encourages you to disregard the drudgery of your employment responsibilities and join him in the consumption of spirituous libations.

No it’s not. Being funny is half the battle.

I have no problem with a guy who takes those questions completely unseriously and tries to be funny with his answers.

They also spelled Jimi Hendrix “Jimmy” on Randy Johnson’s month. Blasphemy.
