I guess they’re close to the team, obviously, and they get a sense of what people are thinking about next year’s team.

I have to think Sabean/whoever is the GM will try pretty hard to upgrade in the OF though.

Marquez is a hell of a fighter. I wouldn’t underrate him. He may not have the footspeed to make an impact on Mayweather, I’ll admit that. There’s no way to know until they both get in the ring. I’d bet money against Mayweather getting a knockout.

It will be hard for him to break into this line up, there’s just too much talent at that position for the Giants. It harkens back to the days of Cepeda and McCovey. Maybe we can trade one of them for a modern day equivalent of Ernie Broglio?
