Let's bring the...
Eh, I don't want to listen to McCarver
Jonathan Sanchez. He's left-handed, like Barry Zito. His fastball breaks 80, unlike Zito.
Yo, what’s up with MLB.com… i’m in Cincy and can’t watch the game online? Does that then mean it’s being televised here?
Unlikely. It looks like its blacked out because Fox in the midwest COULD elect to show the game. I doubt they will, though, considering it is two west coast teams.
Merkin Valdez? Manuel Mateo? A rose by any other name...
BORK!
UPDATE: An interesting tidbit from our talk with manager Bruce Bochy this morning. He said struggling shortstop Edgar Renteria, who already was not starting against right-handed pitchers, probably won’t start against lefties either because of his various injuries.
Juan Uribe will start at short, Pablo Sandoval at third and perhaps Ryan Garko at first when the Giants face lefties, as they will today and tomorrow night (Randy Wolf, Doug Davis).
Of Renteria, Bochy said, “We’ll probably use him more off the bench.”
