If the Giants had the offense of each of the above teams, where would they be according to the Pythagorean Theorem?

If only we’d had the offense of a real juggernaut like the Royals.

I feel like I’m missing an important piece of context here.

Context, people. More context is good. Less context is bad. If you're willing to be reductive, then you're willing to be wrong.

Probably.

By offense, I mean run production. If the Giants had the run production of each of the above teams and had the same number of runs given up, according to the Pythagorean Theorem, the following would be their winning percentage. The last two columns are the extrapolation of said winning percentage to 162 games.

Oooooh, I get it. I was definitely being dense before, but now I’m with you.

I didn't realize that the A's offense had improved that much.

They had virtually the same R/G as the Giants at the ASB. (4.19 vs 4.18). Their season totals sit at 4.0 (A’s) and 4.58 (Giants) as of yesterday.

So there’s the evidence: The A’s players are some sort of run-scoring vampires.

Amazingly

Best offense in baseball + best pitching in baseball > the 2001 Mariners.

Also, I think our pitchers wouldn’t look so good with the Yankee’s defense behind them.

The offense is good now though right?

Does Howdy Doody have wooden balls?

If God had intended us not to rosterbate, he would've made our arms shorter.

Why do you want to know?

Utter frustration and futility.

Assuming that list is in best to worst order, the Giants are at the top of the league in offense!
