Just wondering

How the hell did the Giants of all teams get the opposing pitcher to throw 100 pitches in just three innings? Usually, 100 pitches for an entire game is good for them.

Early Observations

1) The Giants are exactly pitching to the scouting report posted yesterday. First pitch fastball get it over the plate for strike 1 to everybody except Helton. After that, soft stuff out of the zone and they chase.

2) I am willing to bet there is a “take strike 1” order from the bench tonight. There is no way Rowand not swing at the first pitch he saw tonight, a hanging breaking ball right down the middle.

3) Holy shit curveball.
