Reason #7.563 to ban Botchy
Bochy said Lincecum's arm seemed refreshed with the time off to heal his back. His velocity had been down, but returned to the mid-90s. The medical staff kept checking on Lincecum to see if his back pain recurred. Bochy essentially covered his ears and screamed, "La la la la la."
"I didn't want to (hear bad news) and be forced to take him out," he said.
Right, you'd rather pitch him injured and ruin his career on the off chance you might win enough games to not find yourself as a Wal-Mart greeter next year. BORK

Top 10 Reasons To Let Bochy Walk:
10) He doesn’t listen to medical staff
9) Eli Whiteside would be by the wayside
8) Matt Downs would be called Downsy and others nick names
7) Classy Randy would use his class to decorate the dugout instead of the field
6) Garko or Ishi might get consistent at bats
5) Keeping score would be easier without the WTF double switches
4) Rich Aurilla would not be keep sharp
3) The last time, prior to last night, that Bengie was in the lineup as other than the cleanup hitter was BLB’s last game (~255 starts)
2) Buster Posey could play
1) ths SFGiants could charter one plane, and cut the plane the use to transport Bochy’s head from the budget.

I hate to ruin a good Bochy-bash but...
…I have to point out that the last game Rich Aurilia started was on July 17th. In the 3 weeks between that start and going on the DL August 12th, he had 5 ABs as a pinch hitter. In the 2 weeks since he was reactivated – 3 ABs. Catering to Aurilia is not one of Bochy’s current failings.

Jesus, it was a tongue-in-cheek comment. Put the pitchforks away for a night.

Suppose, hypothetically, you know, a guy had already lit his torch. I mean, it’d be cool if he could just keep it lit, huh?
