East Bay Gathering 9/18/09: Reservations Made

I've made reservations for the planned East Bay McCovey Chronicles gathering this coming Friday the 18th. I'm still not sure how many folks there'll be, since so many of y'all are tentative, so I made the reservations for 18 people - better to overestimate than underestimate.

Anyway, here're the details:

Date/Time: Friday, September 18, 7 PM

Location: McCovey's, 1444 N. California Blvd, Walnut Creek (which is close to BART, apparently)

Game: Los Angeles Dodgers vs. San Francisco Giants

Reservations are under my name, which is Josh Burnett. Come one, come all, out of your mom's basement and into the harsh lights of the above-ground indoors, to bitch about Bochy, make bad jokes, swear copiously and creatively, discuss why the Giants will never make the playoffs again, weep at the GIDPs and first-pitch infield flies, and marvel at how much more attractive you are than the rest of us - in person. BE THRE OR BE SQUARE AS LAME A PURPLE ROW REGULAR.

We usually go on the Bears big road trip. Due to budget cutbacks, the band is only going to Minn, UCLA and Furd, so fan support will be huge on the other road games. GO BEARS!!

I can’t make it. I get out of marching band rehearsal at 630 and there’s no way I can make it to the Least Bay in a timely manner.

I will be there. I will possibly be late, because I’m coming from SF. And, then I’m parking at my place so I can walk to McCovey’s and not have to drive home, if you know what I mean.
