So Kruk says that Giants know everything that they need to know about the opposing pitcher because they watch the video. So no need to look at any pitches, just swing away.
Did Scott not watch his videos?
Did they get in trouble or something for all the bitching they’ve been doing? I seem to recall a post game show where the suggestion was made that fines should be instituted for the first pitch hacking.

or they did for most of the year.
Matt Cain: He'll save children, but not the Dodger children.
"AT LAST I AM A PARENTS." - Buster
They are the worst in the league at converting a third base, less than two out situation into a run.
The BA and SLG are a little lower than our season numbers and the OBP is a little higher.
It’s the offense that’s miserable in all situations. Singling out those ones isn’t especially productive.
GROUGTHINK ALERT
The first Chester Arthur fanboy ever.
How much of that is affected by sacrifices that count against OBP?
GROUGTHINK ALERT
The first Chester Arthur fanboy ever.
What are we asking? They are third worst in the league in terms of converting sacrifice bunts.
Nyeh, just look here.
No, I understand that. I’m saying that they’re not so bad at that because they’re especially unclutch. They’re bad at that because they’re just plain terrible at hitting in all situations, and that is one of them.
GROUGTHINK ALERT
The first Chester Arthur fanboy ever.
I’m not arguing that point. The Giants are bad in these situations because they, quite simply, cannot hit. This is valuable information because it somewhat debunks the theory that being fast or good at small ball is enough to make up for lack of hitting ability. It doesn’t please me that this team, my team, is the example against, but there it is.
They will need to take a few these games if they want 82 wins this year and thus a winning season. 6 Winns looks like an awful lot right now.
Wow
this is a subpar effort. G-men look like the Pirates or Nats, playing out the string.

Howry’s fine.
Winn was good in 2005, 2007, and 2008.
I’m not ready to give up on Rowand.
Miller had three great months, which is good from the last guy in the bullpen
Garko probably won’t stick around long enough for his luck to even out, so I’ll give you that one
Guzman is way too young to give up on, and hasn’t had nearly enough ABs to evaluate him
Ishikawa will probably end up being nothing special, so okay, I guess

Its not the guy so much as the trade itself. Heatley plus a 5th for Michalek, Cheechoo, and a 2nd was an absolute steal. Like, on the level of Sturm, Stuart, and Primeau for Joe Thornton.

As long as you don’t start posting fanposts about how much the Sharks suck, you’ll be fine. We had a lot of that after the first round exit this year, which kind of pissed everyone off.

I’ve made like four fanposts total while on MCC, so that probably won’t be a problem.

Hey now
We traded the biggest douche. Sure, Perry’s still here, but you can’t win them all.
I would be a fan of the Sharks, but I watched too much Ducks hockey in 06-07, when I started getting into hockey.
And we’re supposedly getting our own SBN blog soon, so that’s exciting. And hey, at least we haven’t changed to the Los Angeles Ducks of Anaheim.
Insanity is just a state of mind.
Ehh, I hated Perry more than Pronger by the end of the year because of his tendency to attack Sharks goalies.
Oh, and you should totally check out Battle of California (also on SBN). Earl Sleek, the Ducks blogger for it, is pretty cool.

Yup, I’m on there. But like he admits, he’s not terribly in-depth, which is what I’m hoping for from the new blog.\
I see Perry as “getting in your head”, but deep down I know he’s a punk. If you had him on your team, you might think the same thing.
Insanity is just a state of mind.
Very true. I remember the time he linked to one of my blog posts about a Ducks prospect (he was picked with the Sharks former draft pick that was traded 6 times in a year… long story), because I knew more about Palmieri than he did.
But, yeah. Anaheim Calling should be a bit more in-depth, less BSG-oriented than Sleek.
And I still hate Perry for cross-checking Nabby on the back of the legs and then having the audacity to say that Nabokov should be suspended. And then tackling Boucher and stomping on him at the end of the game. One of my favorite moments last season was when Rob Blake speared him in the nuts.

I propose that from here on out, not one player that hasn’t played a stint in Fresno this or last year can be in the lineup (excluding pitchers, of course). At this point, the only good that could come out of the games is giving the young guys some big league experience.
It’ll never, ever happen because of Bochy and his strange fetish for veterans, but I’d like it too.

So it’ll be over before too long, y’all. Just sacrifice your health on the alter of inevitability.

Also, I didn’t start watching today’s until they were already down 7-1, so I didn’t suffer as long.

Guys, there’s still time to turn on the Rockies game and see them improbably win another game in the bottom of the ninth.
The difference is that the Giants aren’t in Pittsburgh. And that the Steelers and Pens stole all the winning-ness from the Pirates.
