Open contest pool
What’s the number of games we have to wait before Aurilia is in the starting lineup?
I’ve got dibs on 1, since Saturday will be a day game after a night game, and because Boch won’t want Richie to sit on the bench too long and have the “hot bat” that he brought with him from SJ cooling off.

Today we saw Smoltz and Giambi released. Why in the hell can’t the Giants do that with Aurilia?? He’s not a major league player any more. Please oh please oh please release him. Now. When a guy is done, a guy is done. Aurilia is DONE.
It's my blarg! Quick Pitch
And I tweet (more often then I blarg).

Has he been rahabbing for a month?
Speaking of that, what happens when the month goes by and a player isn’t brought back to the Majors?

The rehab rule is that position players can only rehab in the minors for a max of 20 calendar days, while pitchers get 30 days max. Aurilia’s max window would have been up on Aug. 18th, so they brought him back 11 days early – Boch must really miss him.

Well do you know what happens if the club doesn’t promote him after 20 days? Do they get DFAd?

It depends on their option status. If they’re out of options (like Aurilia) then they would have to DFA them, or move them to the 60 day disabled list. If they still have minor league options available, then they could be immediately optioned to the minors.

August fools! It’s Gerald wearing an Aurilia mask. We’ve outsmarted them this time…

I like how the organization claims to “love bowker’s swing and his potential” and yet they refuse to give him any kind of real playing time, passing him up for….Aurilia?!
I liked richie, but here is my advice to the giants and aurilia: stop trying to hang onto the past, and let him retire with at least a tiny bit of pride left. The whole fan base is going to automatically hate him cause every time we hear his name it’s “aurilia called up in place of prospect,” etc etc.

Why does this surprise you?
Have you not been paying attention to the Frandsen saga?

My comment was more an expression of my anger at the org and the ridiculousness of the move. I was hopeful that aurilia would be gone, although I expected him to be back at some point.

There is NO rational reason
for it. Irrationally, I think sabean or one of his minnions reads what is written about him here, and this is his fuck you to the knowledgeable fan who ?’s him. Ask Frandsen what happens when you cross the almighty Sabean.

the ONLY reason could be...
that it’s always better to have Aurilia benchwarming than Bowker…

Sabean is forcing the fans to go
Boonitez on a guy who was really a great giant…at one time. Aurilia is going to have to be boo’d out of town. Then we can watch Sabean come running to his defense from the mean, nasty fans. Sabean will never see his part in this.

I was at the game and didn’t realize this move had happened until Aurilla pinch hit. Loud cursing ensued. The people around me must think I really hate Aurilla. I don’t, just hate the fact that he won’t graciously ride of into the sunset on the bay quackers.
The only positive from last nights game was hanging out with the “dawg” before the game.

a friend of mine (non Giants fan) was at the game and when Aurilia came up sent me a text message “is Robby Thompson coming up next?”

The Giants need his veteran presence, don’t you all understand? They can’t get by with the veteran leadership of Rowand, Winn, Molina, Renteria, Uribe, Johnson, Affeldt, and Howry alone!
I'm thinking but nothing's happening.
