Race chart?

The Giants right now are 6 games back of the Bums, and it seems like that's the closest they've been in a while. ESPN used to have these cool "race chart" line graphs that showed the evolution of the standings over time, with each team's line going up or down as their record changed. Does anyone know where I might be able to find something like that? Thanks.

heh… I had the same thought and went looking for the same old chart last night. I couldn’t find it either.

You’re going to have to start your own fanpost, apparently.

Goofy, horse-race-style chart, but with a little work you can get what you need.

The Giants were 5.5 back on April 18th, so they’ve essentially been even with LA since then. They were 6.5 on May 6th, got as close to 3 GB on May 12th, and the peak was 10.5 on July 22nd, I think.

The Rockies were 15.5 out on June 3rd.

Thanks for finding that, and more importantly for actually figuring out what I wanted to know race-wise. :-) I never would have taken the time with that thing.

I think they acted pretty stupidly, but I don’t know all the facts.

Maeby: And it’s not a race thing.

Michael: Yeah, whoever gets there first.
