Schierholtz will swing at a breaking ball down and in and dribble it to the first baseman
Randy Winn will swing at a first pitch and pop it to the infield
We will strand at least two runners on third with less than two out

Panda will hit two XBHs

The entire lineup either will swing at a breaking ball down and in and dribble it to the first baseman or swing at a first pitch and pop it to the infield.

We will strand at least two runners on third with less than two out in every inning.

Velez will terrify us.

Panda will hit – something.

2B Ben Zobrist missed Friday’s game to return home to Eureka, Ill., following a death in family, but is expected back Saturday. His absence left the Rays with just two players, OF Gabe Kapler and C Dioner Navarro, on the bench.

I wouldn't mind seeing Hinshaw / Miller here

5 runs, 2 innings – if we can’t trust them here, they shouldn’t be on the team.

Jonathan Sanchez. He's left-handed, like Barry Zito. His fastball breaks 80, unlike Zito.

by Aadik on Aug 29, 2009 8:00 PM PDT reply actions

they shouldn’t be on the team.

This

by Lars The Wanderer on Aug 29, 2009 8:01 PM PDT up reply actions

but couldn’t that be said for a large portion of the Giants’ current roster?

by nofreetime on Aug 29, 2009 8:02 PM PDT up reply actions

Miller has an ERA below 3

He’s not great, but he’s been pretty good all year.

Jonathan Sanchez. He's left-handed, like Barry Zito. His fastball breaks 80, unlike Zito.
