Eastern League All Stars
Pill and Bond make it at 1B and 2B respectively. Bumgarner gets ignored. NO STRIKEOUT STUFF!!!! Hopefully this provides some of that "you-dissed-me" motivation that athletes find so... well... motivating... and MadBum comes back to post a K% of over 30% in the PCL next year.

I think this is about as close as we are going to come to ever having an all star first baseman.

MadBum was robbed!
Must be that the voters were envious that the chicks dig him. Check out the stats on the guy that they did name as the top LH starter – Joe Savery. What a joke. He’s 23 years old and he had an ERA of 4.41 while allowing a BAA of .282. MadBum kills him in every pitching category, except wins (he had 12 and MadBum had 9) – which can be explained away by Bum’s 3 fewer starts and Savery’s massive run-support. MadBum even had more innings per start – all the while being held to a pitch count and a 6 man rotation. Wouldn’t you know he’s a Phillies prospect – what is it with the Phillies and all their involvement in all-star snubs against the Giants this year? Charlie Manuel must be involved in this in some way.
Here’s Savery’s stat line – read it and LOL:

Motivation
Pill was “dissed” in the mid-season All-Stars and it sure motivated him.
