by Wonderful Terrific Monds on Aug 26, 2009 6:25 PM PDT up reply actions

I wonder if Velez’s fielding does more damage when he plays left or when he plays 2B?

by Hoist That Rag on Aug 26, 2009 6:32 PM PDT up reply actions

Oh he’s much worse at 2nd. Since he’s been up this time I only recall him being bad in the OF that time they played him in right for some reason (a position he never played in the minors all season). When he’s at second I cringe every time a ball gets hit over there.

Also the 2B gets a lot more chances than the LF.

Baggs was talking about Runzler, which is a little odd, since he’s not on the 40-man. (Sorry Bocock.) Surely Aurilia and Torres. Probably Joaquin, :(owski, Matos and/or Hinshaw, for bullpen help. I would think Bowker and Guzman would be the only non-veteran position players brought up. Pretty sure Frandsen will NOT be called up.

It’s a possibility that the Stinkers could actually miss the playoffs. For the Stinker’s fans that would be like the entire season turning into the game the Giants lost to the Rocks the other day – especially after the great start they got the season off to. The thought of that happening gives me a warm fuzzy feeling.
