"No offense to Giants fans, but this team is just not good enough to deserve a playoff spot." I'd say this is true, but you know sometimes people get what they don't deserve ...

I’m pretty sure Klaw is bad luck.

That might mean more if Keith Law wasn’t such a biased moron. Check out his tweets from the series. The only time he woke up from looking at the women in front of him was when the Giants did something stupid(I know, I know). If the Rockies made a thundering error, no comment. It got ridiculous in a hurry. His opinion means nothing.

A “biased moron”? Really?

Keith Law has rated the Giants’ drafts among the best in baseball for three years running, often at odds with the conventional wisdom. He’s consistently praised our farm system, too.

The guy may be a bit of a curmudgeon and say things we don’t want to hear, but he’s not biased.

He’s biased against pretty much everyone, so he’s not biased (if that makes any sense).

He often points out things that fans don’t want to hear. Like the fact that other than Sandoval our lineup is pretty much devoid of anything resembling a competent, professional major league hitter. That doesn’t make his observations less true.

If only there was some way MLB could decide which teams are deserving to got to the playoffs. I got nothing. Continue to draw names out of the hat, Bud.

Brian Sabean strongly encourages you to disregard the drudgery of your employment responsibilities and join him in the consumption of spirituous libations.

Don’t all the defensive metrics say we’ve been good defensively?

2nd in park-adjusted defensive efficiency as well

Though the #1 Dodgers have a pretty commanding lead.

I respect/mancrush the K-Law, but he dropped some serious Giants hate via Twitter this weekend.

I think that if you look impartially at the two teams this weekend

the Rockies were just much better than the Giants at every spot save starting pitcher, in which case the Giants were even in two games, ahead in Friday’s, and even in Saturday’s game (that dude lucked into a win).

if you look at our position players in the field (mistakes galore in the series) and at the plate (non stop hacking at slop) we don’t belong on the same field as the Rockies. However, if we can get consistent pitching from Sanchez and Zito to go along with the excellence that is Lincecum and Cain we’re going to be in it to the end. What’s killing us is the Bengie Molina/Aaron Rowand/Nate Schierholtz school of hitting.

He is right about the no offense.

I guess you could say I'm Maeby, reincarnated in male form.

I keep thinking this same thing

And yet the Giants are still 11 games over .500 with barely over a month to go.

"Catcher are base running. Hitters are offense."
Only [hella] games left until the end of Zito's [no, make that Rowand's] contract.

It really is amazing. Inexplicable?
