Giants vs Rockies. The Battle Comes to the Bay.

So, we are gonna continue our dominance of the D'Backs (7-3) vs them on the year, and continue our stellar play at home and sweep the D'Backs. The Rockies, coming to San Francisco after a tough and grueling series vs the Dodgers will come to the city to put the nail in the coffin.

Lincecum. Zito. Cain.

Star-divide

The Giants will* sweep the Rockies and will start September fully in the race to the playoffs. Freddy Sanchez should come back soon, and maybe even the Big Unit. We are in this. Just remember: Lincecum. Zito. Cain.

Oh, and no more of that fucking dinosaur of theirs. WE HAVE THE MOTHERFUCKING LOU SEAL IN THE HOUSE.

The Giants have surprised us by being 10 games over .500
They will continue to surprise us before the season is over.

Sweeping would be a good idea. Right now they’re pretty unbeatable at Coors.

Its funny, because while yes they are damn good at home right now, they are 11 games over .500 at home so far on the season, while we are 21 games over at home this season.

i couldnt agree more....

about the Rockies mascot. ugh
is that thing on lone from the “Land Before Time” franchise? lamest mascot ever. Am i also the only one that gets annoyed by the fact that he it’s able to dance around directly in view behind home plate? anyways…yea so we have know the Giants havent been too hot on the road this year, and if a few guys did their jobs, that series at coors could have easily been the other way around or even sweepable on our end. so a sweep this weekend IS possibly. especially getting the Rockies offense out of Coors into a pitchers ballpark. Will still be a tough series, but it’s a winable and sweepable one if we don’t give them rallies with walks and errors.

by dannyschmanny on Aug 26, 2009 8:46 AM PDT reply actions

Why don’t we make a petition to put lou seal back there in that brick square behind home plate during the Giants at-bats? Have him hump a tree or eat a stuffed dinosaur or something stupid so the Rox realize how ridiculous it is

Yes, all this wishcasting of future games has worked out great in the past couple of weeks! I really loved how we swept the Reds at home and went into the Dodgers series only a few games back and then won 2 of 3 from the Dodgers and then we won that last game of the Rockies series and left Colorado with some momentum and

Sanchez

The news on his shoulder is not encouraging. According to stories in today’s Chron, it’s not getting any better with rest. Having him back when he’s eligible to return is a hope, not a certainty.

It’s entirely possible that he’s done for the season, and they just haven’t figured it out yet.

story i was told was that he had something to do with discovering Fernando Valenzuela, and that’s how he got the “honor” of going to all those games and working the gun. no idea if that’s true or not.

I beg to differ.

I prefer the Krab simply because – and I apologize for , once again , the possible uniqueness of my opinion – it’s the most bizarre , ludicrous , pathetic mascot I’ve ever seen. It suggests , to me , a wood tick or body louse that was trapped in a nuclear reactor meltdown and managed to crawl away.
So to see this anomaly dealing on Zinger – er , Dinger – tickles me no end.
