I loved how Affeldt did the smart thing and threw that grounder to home. How many of the Giants fielders or pitchers go to home?
Affeldt leads the majors in GB%. That’s pretty cool.

Hey guys, huge news out of Minnesota:
Cheered loudly by the same fans who used to loathe him when he played for Green Bay, Favre played two series and went 1 for 4 for a whopping 4 yards. He moved around all right and his passes had zip, just no direction.
But what did he have for breakfast?

So I left to go swimming. I figured, “Hey, you know what. I trust our bull pen.” Then I finish up, get in the car, turn on the radio, and find out that the bases are loaded. Thank God I got back in time to help Jeremy Affeldt induce the double play — that could’ve been really bad.

This made me feel better. Rockies fan sez:
At least we made Wilson throw…oh, great, a whole 14 pitches?

Wow

This I don’t get. I looked at the matchups and liked our chances in three of the four.

Sanchez in Coors
I know he’s been pretty good, but that had “disaster” written all over it in my book. Im glad we got good jonathon, but it means that one of the other games I thought we’d win we’re going to lose. Probably timmy’s start

What a bizarre way you feel you influence the game. If you feel the most positive about the game, then why would you expect it to turn out negatively? That’s backwards.

When Tim was going against the Reds at home against Homer Bailey I said to myself, “this might be the most winnable game of the season.”
The Giants lost.
