Around SBN: The Ten Worst Swings Of The 2011 Season

"Jeff Kent is a Wall of Famer.

Upon his retirement after last season, Kent became eligible for induction on the Giants’ Wall of Fame by virtue of his All-Star appearance with the club. He’ll be formally inducted and recognized on Saturday, Aug. 29, and the Giants have set up a conference call with the media for Monday."

True or False?

Jeff Kent would be the 2nd best hitter on the team.

False.

He’d be our best SS, though.

I have the number for the conference call on Monday with Kent. Sometimes, I really wish I had a Howard Stern kind of mindset, because that conference call isn’t going to be as humorous as it should be.

If only everyone involved had enough of a sense of humor to make this real.

I think there is a chance he might be booed by some at the ball park. While he was a good Giant, remember that this is San Francisco and Kent donated $15,000 to the Yes on 8 campaign. That will get resentment from some people.

And he was a Dodger

I like the truck washing statue though, that’s priceless
