It did so well against Parnell last night that Bochy decided to repeat it against one of the elite pitchers of the game. The only change was switching Nate and Rowand in the order. Does Bochy know you’re supposed to rest your fat old catcher a day game after a night game?

Thank you, Merope. I didn’t know this site, and have bookmarked it. In addition, I noted on it that the fat old catcher is the third best defensive catcher in the NL, according to the NL managers, so I am OK with him in the lineup, if BATTING 6TH OR 7TH.

I think the key phrase here is “according to the NL managers.” This is the same group that contains a member who didn’t pick Pablo Sandoval for the all star team and then said “he hadn’t seen him play before.” I’m going to trust stats over that group.
