Yeah, I don’t get that. The HD cameras are there – fuckin’ use ’em!
It's my blarg! Quick Pitch
And I tweet (more often then I blarg).
Maybe they can't use the hometown team's cameras
I’m guessing that if they could, they would make every game HD. I’m thinking there’s a reason they can’t.

I've never been happier to have Crabs
My guess: stupidity.
Even if they don’t use the other team’s cameras, I would think that there are some available locally for use. It’s a piss-poor system that doesn’t allow for just universal HD broadcasts of all baseball games.
It's my blarg! Quick Pitch
And I tweet (more often then I blarg).
Yeah
but if it’s prohibitively expensive, I can totally understand why they wouldn’t do it. Give it time! Won’t be too long before EVERYTHING is HD

And also – the game on Sunday is set to be broadcast in HD here on Comcast, so obviously they CAN do it. They just don’t.
It's my blarg! Quick Pitch
And I tweet (more often then I blarg).
do you have Comcast?
I do, and every game I’ve seen so far (except, oddly, some of the NBC games) has been available in HD.

Lineup from Baggs
I like the old place better. The combination of rats, exposed wiring, asbestos and the aroma of an open sewer gave Shea a unique allure.
Randy Winn on the bench, Nate Schierholtz plays. It appears the shift has begun. But expect Aaron Rowand to rest more often, too.
LF Velez
2B Sanchez
3B Sandoval
C Molina
1B Garko
RF Schierholtz
CF Rowand
SS Renteria
P Zito
No one here gets out alive.
Not half bad, either
This may be about as good a lineup as we can put out there, given:
That Bengie clearly knows about Bochy’s American Doll fetish
That we may as well ride the improbable Velezl hot streak a bit longer
That Uribe should probably start over Rent, but that one may be a wash

Wait – so there’s no player that the Giants could use for a bobblehead on Latin Heritage Night? Carlos Santana is the only one they could think of?

Haven’t they been doing that with heritage nights for a while now? In fact, isn’t this not even the first Santana bobblehead?

Yeah, they went with Manny Pacquiao for Filipino Heritage Night instead of Asian Sensation Gino Espinelli.

It’s like they just pick a random person affiliated with whatever heritage, then slap ‘em on a bobblehead with a Giants logo. It smells kinda insulting to me. But what do I know – I don’t have any heritage (random white chick).

Yeah, I’m the same way (well, except for the chick part), but I don’t see anything too insulting about it.

remember that summer when “Smooth” was being played every-fucking-where? Man I hated that summer
Billy Ripken is not a fuck face
I don’t have any problem with it, but he has no connection to the Giants. At least Santana is a fan.
I see the principle you’re proposing, and I would agree, but that’s not why they chose him; he had just won a major title that the entire community probably pirated entire antenna factories to watch/mortgaged half of Stockton and Daly City to afford the PPV, it was pure directed marketing.
Well, obviously. I know that
For what it’s worth, if they had an Andy Lau bobblehead or something for Chinese heritage night, I’d be all over that.
To sum it all up, I think a bobblehead given away at a baseball game should have something to do with the team or at least baseball.

He’s the team mascot – that’s connected enough for me.
