EQA Comparison Giants/Dodgers

Would have liked to see a few more stats in the tables for comparison, but I'm too lazy to do it myself. Grabbed the link from True Blue LA. Good news is that they're only majorly outperforming us at SS, the entire outfield and the entire bench. Can't wait for the game tonight!

To see a blog from a Major newspaper using EqA. It’s nice to see somebody use a more advanced statistic than OPS, even if it’s not much better.

EqA is miles better than OPS

I like wOBA better, but EqA is excellent as well.

EqA

overestimates positive and negative events. When you break it down into linear weight values, they’re quite a bit off. What’s the point of using EqA when wOBA is freely available? Sure, EqA is a step up from OPS. But it’s nothing special, and it’s far from “excellent” IMO.

you know, I’m starting to think giantsrainman may not have been correct in his comparison of the Giants young hitters and the Dodgers young hitters this offseason
