Denker DFA'd by Boston
Travis Denker DFA'd again, this time by Boston. Wouldn't be too surprised to see him picked up by somebody (Giants?) for AAA depth.

DON'T LET OLDJACKET GET HIS HOPES UP
Aaron King is still my homeboy... iffy mechanics and all
If Dustin Pedroia played in Seattle, not many people would be talking about him.

THE DREAM IS STILL ALIVE
Rafael Rodriguez: #8 on our list, tearing up Scottsdale, and has been alive long enough to see the Warriors make the playoffs once.

I can’t believe the next Chase Utley is passing through so many organizations and nobody seems to realize it.

between him and Kevin Frandsen that is a lot of future All Star games at 2B getting jerked around

Question for people who freaked out and called the Giants organization stupid for letting Denker go: Have you re-thought your position on Denker?
I didn’t understand them not keeping him at the time, but figured there was a reason for it.

The move isn’t biting the Giants in the ass, but can it be one of those things where I hated the decision process? The move = not terrible, the decision process = questionable?

Yes.
The options that we had at 2nd base have not worked out either.
Randy Winn is in time out until his OBP gets back over .330.

The process by which the decision that Travis Denker wasn’t worth keeping was reached? I think we would generally refer to that as “scouting”

I figured there MUST be something problematic about the guy, given how strange it was to cut him loose. It’s just hard to give the benefit of the doubt to an organization that thinks Brian Bocock is worthy of major-league at-bats.

Didn’t it kind of leak out afterwards that Denker was a jerk and nobody in the organization was very fond of him?

I didn't flip when I heard it....
…I figured there was a real good reason a decent bat was being treated like the plague. I suspect there’s a major attitude problem or something even more insidious that he keeps bringing to the table that makes organization hit the eject button.

Kinda like Jackson Williams’ entire minor league career.
