See below.

And on the 6th day, God created base-ball, and Barry put one in the water, and it was good.

The best part was when Ozzie swung at Will and missed the haymaker. What made it great was that Will had his back turned and didn’t see the punch coming, and Ozzie still missed.

“Travis Ishikwara and Fred Lewis each had two hits for San Francisco”

And for good measure they then say…

“In the seventh after Ishikwara reached on his second single of the night, Aaron Rowand was hit by a pitch and Ishikwara moved to third on a fly out.”

I’m kinda likin’ this Ishikwara…

Nothing about Tom Lincecum or Brain Wilson?

Fred Lewis can stand under my umbrella.

Awesome game, y’all. Kruk’s amazing Mother Teresa analogy was the icing on the cake.

Also Richie’s kids were really into the family softball game. I’m calling it – Giants draft Chaz Aurilia in 12 years or so.

So he’ll get to play with his dad since Rich will still be a Giant.

Back from the game

And we had a great time! The kids were remarkably well-behaved, even.

A couple of observations:

- In a way, this start was even more impressive than Lincecum’s last, because he didn’t really have his best stuff or control. Last time he was absolutely dominant and blowing guys away, but tonight his fastball was down a few MPH, his control was shaky, and he was giving up hits, but he still managed to get through a tough lineup without giving up a single run.

- The game went by really fast. So fast I sort of forgot the inning – when I saw Wilson warming up, I was all, “Huh? They’re bringing him in for the 8th inning!?” It wasn’t until he actually started pitching I realized it was, in fact, the ninth.

- It was truly a pleasure to watch Rectum Face end the game with a grounder on one freaking pitch. THERE’S YOUR ALL-STAR, MOTHERFUCKERS.

- Leaving the game, some Phillies fans were attempt to talk shit despite losing 2 of 3. “Oooh, two sac flies!” they said, mocking the Giants’ offense. So, um – how many sac flies did the Phillies get? Oh, that’s right – ZERO. Also, I’d say it’s poor form to talk shit when your team just got shut out by a 12-year old boy and a douchey closer with a freaking rattail sticking out of his hat.

- My wife was there with her new fancy-fancy camera and zoom lens. She’s promised to give me some pictures to post tonight.

Brian Sabean wants to kick tires. I want to kick Brian Sabean.

on the “ooh, two sac flies” comment, you should have replied that the last two games have looked like playoff baseball from both sides. and promptly apologized for their misfortune for having a rectumface on their team

Brand new adoptive daddy for the Big Unit. Congrats go out to my son for his 300th win. Only 211 more wins until he catches Cy Young!
