Jon & Flemming just mentioned Monte Vista High School

Whch reminds me of a seriously nerdy story.

In high school, I was in Academic Decathlon, which is a national academic competition. At the Contra Costa County competition, I sat behind one guy from Monte Vista, who was wearing a leather jacket that said, “SKINHEAD” on it. Another guy, who overheard saying he joined the team because his teacher said he wouldn’t fail him if he did so, later got up in the middle of a test, shouted, “FUCK IT!” and walked out. They did so badly that the whole team decided to leave midway through.

I don’t think they took the team very seriously, eh?
