All-Star Voting Deal

We vote for Kinsler, they vote for Pablo "Kung Fu Panda" Sandoval.

Star-divide

The article I posted for the deal in voting for each of our players

Let's get them there. We believe Sandoval was snubbed and I also believe Kinsler was snubbed. So let's get voting!

I think Adam Lind probably deserves it more than Kinsler, but it really, really pisses me off that Pedroia’s going to start. He hasn’t even been good, let alone an All-Star. Him starting is like if Jimmy Rollins actually started for the NL. I guess I’m voting for Kinsler because Pedroia over Kinsler is a far bigger snub than Teixeira over Lind.

Texeira over Lind… or Cabrera… or V.Mart… or even Morneau as the starter…

Texeira doesn’t even deserve to be there at all. There are at least 5 guys with better stats IMO.

by zuma420 on Jul 6, 2009 1:32 AM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Wrong. Maybe not as deserving as a couple other people, but definitely deserving fo being there.

A .943 OPS is nothing to frown upon. That’s certainly All Star worthy. Maybe not starter worthy, but he still deserved to at least be on the team. Really the only argument you could make is that Morneau deserved to start. Lind posted an OPS one point higher, so it’s not like he got completely snubbed, although he definitely should’ve made the team. Cabrera has been great, but not as good as any of the former. It was definitely fair for V-Mart not to start. If you think Tex only hits homers, it’s because you’ve never looked at his stats. He’s an MVP caliber hitter and a GG defense1B.
