Playoffs, We're talkin about playoffs??
Wussup, McCovey Chronicles. Long time reader, first time poster. First off i'd like to say R.I.P. to one of my favorite players, Steve "Air" McNair. He will truly be missed...
Now, as of right now, we are the wild card leaders. I believe that we will make the playoffs and end up facing the dodgers in the NLCS. I don't think we should trade cain or sadowski, they are great pitchers and sadowski is just adding to our great pitching while not allowing a run in 2 starts. If we can somehow trade sanchez or some prospect for a decent bat, we're pretty much set. But, i also think that even if don't make a trade, it won't be the end of the world. As long as we play consistent baseball as we are now, there's no doubt in my mind we will make the playoffs as a wild card or as the nl west leader. Trade or no trade, we will see our gigantes playing in october, maybe all the way into the world series, but lets not get ahead of ourselves. If and when we make the playoffs, i gurantee we get past the mets, phillies, brewers, cards and set up ourselves with a NLCS matchup with the dodgers. Now that would be exciting, Giants vs Dodgers, first time in the playoffs for a chance to go to the playoffs. Start racking up those playoff tickets, because i sure am.

What
I don’t think we should trade cain or sadowski
You’re putting a bit much stock in just two major leage starts. I don’t think Sadowski will garner much interest anyway.

If we could get anything meaningful for Sadowski, I would trade him right now.

In 5 years, after the Big Sad has won 10 Cy Youngs we’ll regret having said this.

If we make the playoffs, I might have Lincecum start games 1 and 4 and Sadowski start games 2 and 5. Cain can start game 3 if he turns it around.

We is Contenders!
With great pitching the Giants could make the playoffs and play in the WS. Would like to see what Bowker could add to this team before the trade deadline.

We’d better have things wrapped up by then, or this team’s in trouble.

so far in the majors.
Sanchez has better stuff, Sadowski (polish for Sanchez) has better incremental control. Also seems to not panic once a batter gets on base and he has to go into the stretch to continue the proper arm slot.
