I don’t see it.
Lee doesn’t have as big a curve ball and gets more groundballs than Zito used to.
Randy Winn is in time out until his OBP gets back over .330.
OPS+ of 4

EVERY TIME BENGIE
the day bengie gets moved to the 7th slot in the order is the day our offense will be free’d.

LOL Kuiper
Calls Phillies CF “Rowand”, and says the Giants lose to the Pirates. He’s checked out just like the rest of us.
Why couldn't McCovey have hit the ball just three feet higher??
LOL. Seriously?
Clayton Tanner. I have nothing witty to add.

Second baseball kicks ball, bobbles picking it up, lobs it to second, second baseman casually rainbows a throw to first and Bengie Molina is just barely entering the picture frame of first base.
Raj back on ; Benji still hasn't gotten to first

we lost that before the first pitch was thrown
Randy Winn is in time out until his OBP gets back over .330.
Nah
We had a shot, but our offense fucking sucks. So there’s that.

Cliff Lee: pretty good.
Ryan Sadowski: Fresno Grizzly
Randy Winn is in time out until his OBP gets back over .330.
and this is why it sucks to have only 2 starting pitchers who can consistently give you 7 innings…
how good is the giants' starting rotation? our rotation is so good, our 5th starters throw no-hitters. uh.
by Golden Gate Review on Jul 31, 2009 9:57 PM PDT reply actions
Well, to be fair, the bullpen let this game get out of control, even though we all thought it would be Sadowski
any bullpen’s going to give up some runs when forced to throw 5 innings
Randy Winn is in time out until his OBP gets back over .330.
yes
forced is what i meant. not just talking about this game, but the season overall. the bullpen overall has pitched amazingly, but they have been relied heavily on.

by Golden Gate Review on Jul 31, 2009 10:01 PM PDT up reply actions
that's my point
the bullpen has been forced to cover for weak starting performances all year…. i have been afraid they’d get tired out. you can’t expect the bullpen to pitch 3+ innings half the time

by Golden Gate Review on Jul 31, 2009 10:00 PM PDT up reply actions
to be fair, there is no such thing as "out of control" when one's offense only scores 1 run.
No team wins many games 1-0. So this was never going to be a 1-0 win for us. The Phillies could have been held to 2 and still won. This loss is not on the bullpen.

4 hits and 1 run in a game = blame on offense

I agree, the Giants’ away offense showed up tonight and is responsible for this loss…it wasn’t Sadowski’s fault is what I was trying to say.
I dont think Sadowski should get another start, he isnt good
Chris Dominguez: Bringing dingerz back to The Bay (In a while)
Well, we will probably be finding out soon enough. I hope Joe is pitching as well as he was at the beginning of the year, because I do believe he is better.
I think Joey might be good enough to be fifth starter.
Randy Winn is in time out until his OBP gets back over .330.
maybe it wasn’t his fault, but he didn’t help much.

He went from 3-0 to a strikeout twice, which is pretty weird for a guy with his stuff.
Bruce Bochy would like you to look at the career numbers and stop complaining.
I saw one of those (Utley, I think), the last pitch looked like he was borrowing Lincecum’s change-up.
