Would it be too dreadfully unclassy of me to hope that when Pablo is rounding the bases he stares down the Phil’s dugout the entire way, and maybe he could throw in a crotch grab or two for good measure? Oh, and maybe Sanchez can bean Victorino…
Pablo will do the right thing and just put his head down and act like he’s done it before…

If that's not classy
Then I don’t want to be classy. And it’s not like anyone will accuse our team of being low on class, that’s what Randy Winn is for.
The 1st pitch is the best
Still crossing my fingers for a belated series preview. I want pithy remarks expressing how much better the Phils offense is!
I am really impressed with the Phil’s starting pitching. I think it’s better than the Giants now that they added Lee.

So the Pirates’ rotation has already proved to be better than the Giants’ rotation?

but you’re fairly new here, right? So I’m not too sure. But yeah, you’re wrong if you’re not joking. I guess maybe they do have more DEPTH.. I would love to have Happ as a 5th starter. But yeah, Timmy and Cain trump all their guys. Lee would be our 3rd starter

Either Zito needs to stay consistent in a strong second half showing or Sanchez needs to be more like that guy who did that thing that made us all so happy a couple of weeks ago. You know, the one with the hits or lack thereof?
If somebody doesn’t step up as at least a dependable 3rd starter, this team is going nowhere.

True they have to PROVE it
but excuse me if I don’t believe that anyone is clean. Arod was always held up as the poster boy for clean players, so if he’s not clean then I’m just going to assume everyone isn’t. Pujols probably is, since there have been no creepy injuries, no size change, and no drop off in numbers. But I’m still wary.

that’s why I don’t think it matters. Every fucking person was taking steroids, both the batters AND the pitchers, so the playing field was more or less even for everyone. Bonds took steroids, true. I still don’t get the salary beef. It really shouldn’t effect anything the Giants are doing. They have plenty of money.
Rafael Rodriguez: #8 on our list, tearing up Scottsdale, and has been alive long enough to see the Warriors make the playoffs once.
It's Affect with an A
and no, they don’t. 18 mil to Zito, 9 mil to Rent a wreck, 12 to Rowand, 10(?) to Timmy, 8 to Sanchez. That’s a shitload of money on players who, besides tim, aren’t even good. They don’t have unlimited resources

That’s about 60 million. There’s no reason this team can’t be around 100 if they need to.
Rafael Rodriguez: #8 on our list, tearing up Scottsdale, and has been alive long enough to see the Warriors make the playoffs once.
Maybe.
But it would sure be nice to have even more money to play with, which they should have been able to do. I can’t understand why they’d give up such a good pitching prospect for an injured player and not also get some salary relief.

Just a quick comment from the other threads from a Pittsburgh fan perspective: Giants fans here are really upset with trading a future #4 pitcher at best with declining stuff for an All-Star, should be Gold Glove 2nd baseman (who can play 3B and SS as well)?
Freddy Sanchez’s .300 bat makes you guys the favorites to win the WS, IMHO. Great player for you, terrible trade for us poor Buccos. It’s just another salary dump from the cheapest owners in sports.
Jon Sanchez the pitcher would have been a lot more fair return.
Let’s go Buccos and Freddy/Jack.

But they say his stuff is down from last year. Why do you think he was traded to Pittsburgh (and owner Bob Nutting)?
How can they say he has average #4 or 5 starter stuff and still put him in the top 100 prospects? Only one can be true, and the “experts” seem to be contradicting them selves.

Yeah, but who’s judgement is better when it comes to young pitching?
The team that drafted Lincecum, Cain, and Bumgarner in the first round, or the team that drafted Bullington, Lincoln, Moskos, Van Benschoten, Bradley, Burnett, Herrera, etc.?
If the Giants think he is on the decline, their judgment seems a whole lot better than whoever the Pirates have hired, eh?

wait, Bochy didn't double switch?
the one time it made sense? I guess with no OF, but you could have put Ishikawa in at 1b…
Jonathan Sanchez. He's left-handed, like Barry Zito. His fastball breaks 80, unlike Zito.
He never double switches when it actually makes sense to.
But yeah, it’s probably because the bench is a bit light tonight

Left on the bench today

The comments
OVER TWO THOUSAND
I choose to watch the Giants try to score runs. Not because it is easy, but because it is hard.
Whoever used the argument that Panda can’t play defense during the All-Star debate should trip on a rock. East Coast bias…
Srsly
and then the shitstain playing instead of him made an error and cost Tim a run
