I heard him interviewed on KNBR this morning. Very nice.
In high school (early eighties – I’m old-ish), my friend’s dad was the service manager of a Cadillac dealership and he would bring McCovey’s car home to prevent the mechanics from going through it and taking it for a ride and so forth, so naturally we would go through it and take it for rides and so forth. I may still have a gas station receipt with his signature on it somewhere…
