From Extra Baggs

Manager Bruce Bochy said there will probably be a roster move made after the game. Rich Aurilia is ready to come off the bereavement list and a position player (Fred Lewis? Matt Downs? Maybe even Aurilia?) figures to be the odd-man out. Stay tuned.

It does a disservice to every player in the bullpen to have eight guys there. The Giants barely had enough playing time for seven relievers, much less eight.

I agree, I’m just saying the Giants seem to like him in the pen for now. If you don’t want to send down Sanchez, then your flexibility is limited, as most of our relievers do not have any options left

So, watch the Giants, or watch the Empire Strikes Back?

Jonathan Sanchez. He's left-handed, like Barry Zito. His fastball breaks 80, unlike Zito.

I feel like Krukow says that every pitcher ever can “sink and cut the fastball”

by xanthan on Jul 3, 2009 7:18 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

by superk1ng on Jul 3, 2009 7:19 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

he does

I love Kruk, but he’s wrong so often its depressing. Not every pitcher against the Giant pitches well, and Rich Aurillia is not a good player.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that pie > cake, that Bochy is endowed by his creator with certain undeniable traits, that among these are veteran man-love, a gigantic skull, and the pursuit of the double switch.
