8:29 p.m. – Framework of a deal with the Giants has been discussed. Pirates willing to pay some of Sanchez’s salary for next season in return for three prospects. Jesus Guzman (.336 BA – 12 HR – 59RBI’s) would be the top MLB ready prospect heading to Pittsburgh
A deal is not official though and if the two sides agree to a deal within the next 12 hours, it will not be announced until after Wednesday’s game.

LOL @ Nats
Per Jon Heyman’s twitter…
#giants still talking to #bucs after examining sanchez. also rebuffed #nats request of sanchez-plus for nick johnson.
Are the Nats serious? They are aware that Nick Johnson is a FA after the season and won’t even be a Type B, right?

Nats management is pretty stupid. Worst record in baseball, shitty farm system and they still haven’t traded anybody. Nick Johnson is not going to be a type B so they’re about to lose him for nothing.

I’ve read this twit by Heyman 20 times. Does he mean the Giants rebuffed the Nats or the Pirates did. Not intelligent writing to speak of two Sanchez’s in one sentence. That said, I presume they mean the Giants laughed the Nats off.
