He’s right, but when is he going to criticize the veterans? He needs to be fair. How about saying Molina has sucked since May? How about saying that Winn can’t get a clutch hit? How about saying Aurilia is washed up? Don’t hold your breath. The veterans can do no wrong.

by Merope on Jul 26, 2009 3:29 PM PDT up reply actions

they need to do more than turn it up a notch

they need to stop being awful.

Rowand = complete waste of money
Winn = sucks
Molina = brain dead, swings at slop
Auriellia = never should have been brought back
Uribe = terrible, huge hole in swing

These guys bring absolutely nothing to the table. It is an inidictment of our management team that a few of them are even on the roster.

by joe t on Jul 26, 2009 4:14 PM PDT up reply actions

Rowand: Not a complete waste.
Winn: Slumping, but by no means the worst the giants have
Molina: Bad hitter, but still a pretty good defensive catcher. It would be nice if we had a real cleanup hitter though
Aurilia: Yeah
Uribe: Would be a good utility man, not a starter.

by GiantPain on Jul 26, 2009 7:55 PM PDT up reply actions

There’s a lot of blame to go around, it’s an equal mix of bad veterans and AAAA players. At least the veterans get to play almost everyday to prove that they don’t belong.
