So Sadowski is an easy DFA right?
No need to waste a 40 man roster spot on him
No

Might as well try Martinez, Pucetas, and probably even Alderson before we start rushing Bumgarner
Rafael Rodriguez: #8 on our list and batting .326 in Scottsdale...which I believe has be renamed Rafaelsdale.

Sadowski can tell his grandparents he made two wonderful starts in the bigs. I’ll always remember his first start. Game three against the Brewers, I was watching the Confederations Cup Final at the downtown SJ Brittania Arms

He isn’t an incessant homer, he tries to be very descriptive, he has a good voice, and he lets his partner talk. He’s not perfect, but he is very good.

The Giants need to keep their chins up and win this one! Cook looks beatable and I don’t think the Rox bullpen is all that special.
No one here gets out alive.
Question.
How should pitching stats in the PCL be treated? It is generally regarded as a Hitter’s league, so I would think pitching stats would be a bit overvalued. Sadowski had a 4.11 ERA in Fresno, but Pucetas, who might be a 5th starter candidate, has put up a 3.26 ERA there, albeit with a bad K/9. how should Pucetas and pitcher’s in Fresno be valued overall?
Brand new adoptive daddy for the Big Unit. Congrats go out to my son for his 300th win. Only 211 more wins until he catches Cy Young!
Their timing is bad again.
They probably could have moved Sadowksi last week as part of a package and gotten something for him. Not now.
Worse yet, there are 20 teams looking for pitching and there are only about 8 starters available, so the Giants could probably get someone to overpay for Sanchez right about now, but Sabean won’t pull that trigger either.

I doubt they would have gotten anything for Sadowski.

According to Ken Rosenthal, the Dodgers and Indians are in serious discussions about a trade that would send both Cliff Lee and Victor Martinez to Los Angeles in exchange for James Loney, a young starting pitcher, and prospects.
The deal still faces significant obstacles due to the caliber of players involved, but the Dodgers clearly want to strengthen themselves for a strong postseason showing.
Rosenthal names Class AA third baseman Josh Bell, Class AA outfielder Andrew Lambo and Class AAA right-hander Josh Lindblom as prospects who are being discussed.

Every time I’ve seen Bowker take a pitch since he’s been up it’s been a total paint strike on a very borderline call.
That makes it hard to blame him for just swinging away.

More from the There Are No Girls on the Internet file: the new media relations contact in Fresno thought I was male. I used a little humor in the situation, saying he should know I’m OMG A GIRL now rather than be surprised when I show up wearing eyeliner and a skirt.

Eyeliner & skirt doesn't prove one is a girl. Just saying.

By all means give the run that you scratched and fought for back in the next inning.
Good show

This why I was against Miller being pinch hit for after throwing only 1 1/3 innings. It’s the last day of a long road trip, you’ve brought your long reliever into the game in the 3rd inning, why wouldn’t you let him pitch at least a couple innings and save your bullpen so they’re not exhausted if they need to come into the game tomorrow night? Did any of us expect Howry to be effective for longer than an inning?

if it's Billingley
then I like the trade for the Dodgers. If it’s Kershaw, then they are fucking stupid.
I'll be just as glad to get Billingsley out of our division so he doesn't kill us 4X/year
