Pitch f/x
I had the opportunity to be at a convention in the east this last week and hit a number of games. I went to games in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and new Yankees stadium. PNC is an absolutely stunning park for anyone that might be in the area.
The most interesting thing I noticed is that the Pirates flash the Pitch f/x data after every pitch. They also show the velocity of each pitch at release and after it crosses the plate. Both the Yanks and Phils only show the basic velo and pitch type.
I haven't been to a game at AT&T in two years so I was curious if the Giants show the Pitch f/x data during the games?

I have never seen it happen though I wouldn’t be surprised if they were to add it at some time.

That's awesome
But it could really be problematic for the umpires if they were showing balls and strikes.
Proud father of Juan Carlos Perez. Think Albert Pujols at a position to be determined.
@#$% Juan Uribe. Dios es grande.
Because the umpires would be like
“Oh no, I’m a moron…”
Aaron King is still my homeboy... iffy mechanics and all
If Dustin Pedroia played in Seattle, not many people would be talking about him.
GET THAT VORP SH!T OUTTA HERE!!!
And Curt Schilling would show up and break every camera in sight

Not only do they not do it, they occassionally turn of the in-park radar gun.
They often did it when Zito was struggling to break 85 last season, IIRC.

I believe you are missing the question. I was at last Sunday’s game in Pittsburgh and noticed the same thing – the “side” scoreboards in the ballpark would show the speed and break of the pitches after the pitches were thrown. Does AT&T do that?
PNC is very nice. I hope to post pictures soon.
Sergio Romo: striking out professional hitters since 2005. And winner of the 2012 NL Fireman of the Year Award!
Nah, AT&T doesn’t even though the Pitchf/x people are located in the Bay Area.
For what its worth, the Giants had a representative at the Pitchf/x “summit” a couple weeks ago and they presenters made a point of harassing the Giants for not using the Pitchf/x MPH data
