Keep in mind this is a fan reverse engineering the Elias formula. His attempt has been very good at gauging what Elias status ends up being but they should not be viewed as carved in stone after having had a burning bush speak to you. ( Cue Goofus or Howie type remarks in 4 … 3 … 2…)

Yes, you get a supplemental pick for type B’s (as long as you offer them arbitration) Miller isn’t a free agent at the end of the year though, so the fact that he’s a type B doesn’t really mean anything of consequence.

No, only the bold players on that list are free agents (or free agents with option years of some kind) Miller may have only signed a 1 year deal but he’s not got enough service time to be a free agent & so we still control him after this year. That’s providing we tender him a contract in the offseason although if we didn’t we obviously wouldn’t be getting picks back.

Winn’s Elias Ranking won’t matter. The Giants won’t offer arbitration and another club won’t sign him before they decline to offer said arbitration. Bengie will likely get arb since a one year deal provides some flexibility in case Posey stays in the Minors.

The other eason I slapped the link up is we can use it to referance for incoming trade names. For those that don’t know in the event of trade across leagues the player ( with his number total) is moved to his new league so see if he is high enough to be Type “A” or “B” in his new league.
