Amazingly, I understand Cain batting here. We’re shorthanded on the bench, and Cain is probably our best remaining hitter.

Plus the way he handled Twittergate and the Casey Blake incident made him look like an enormous jagoff. If he just owned up to everything and said, “yeah I fucked up” and “oh well shit happens.” then nobody would care. But he showed his ass in both situations and handled it in the worst possible ways.

He’s a huge tool and a douche, but as a player he’s pretty damn good most of the time. I think people hate on him a little much as a PLAYER, which is odd given our previous closers….

Eh, I save my hate for Giants who really deserve it. (Rentafail and Howryfail come to mind). How many saves will it take before WIlson haters give the dude a break for his personality? We all cut Bonds some slack for doing his job. I’m sure we can afford to do Wilson that favor too.
