Good job, Sanchez. Can't count on any offense every time you pitch though.

Checking in while at work...

The play-by-play said that Panda struck out bunting foul with two outs and runners in scoring position. Is that correct?!

Ah, thanks

I mean, it’s not like that’s good, but my baseball crush on Panda was going to take a pretty severe beating if he struck out bunting foul in that (or any) situation.

Chris Dominguez: Bringing dingerz back to The Bay (In a while)

by CB30 on Jul 20, 2009 6:46 PM PDT reply actions

This the Giants plan. Let the Braves score a ton of runs tonight and shut them out tomorrow.

by SFGuy on Jul 20, 2009 6:46 PM PDT reply actions

So, the bullpen has given up two runs for every out so far tonight.

by non sequitur on Jul 20, 2009 6:46 PM PDT reply actions

If Panda is in next year’s HR derby, do you think he can bring Howry along to pitch to him?

Why couldn't McCovey have hit the ball just three feet higher??

by tobias on Jul 20, 2009 6:47 PM PDT reply actions

So you’re saying “Hello Sadowski – Buh-bye Howry” ??

by Merope on Jul 20, 2009 6:48 PM PDT up reply actions

Nahhh…Howry’s good for games like this one.

Why couldn't McCovey have hit the ball just three feet higher??

So.

Our bullpen is regressing a bit then?

Just checking in now...

Drove from Southern Cal to Colorado the past couple days. Will be here for the next week and a half. Going to the Sunday Rox-Giants game (last game of road trip—I think Sadowski is scheduled to go).

Did Rowand get injured? What happened?

Why couldn't McCovey have hit the ball just three feet higher??

by tobias on Jul 20, 2009 6:54 PM PDT reply actions

Or ribcage – not sure what’s hurt but it was from the throw

by North Side Chicago Expatriate Giants Fan on Jul 20, 2009 6:55 PM PDT up reply actions

Looked more like his forearm where he got hit on his first AB started to flare up on him

by nofreetime on Jul 20, 2009 7:03 PM PDT up reply actions

aahhhh

I missed that – didn’t turn on the game until the second batter, and I didn’t know where Rowand got hit.

LOL - They're old

Saving their energy for tomorrow’s game.

Why couldn't McCovey have hit the ball just three feet higher??

by tobias on Jul 20, 2009 6:57 PM PDT up reply actions

I’m pleased that I can’t join Greg Papa after the game

by North Side Chicago Expatriate Giants Fan on Jul 20, 2009 6:56 PM PDT reply actions

so……were only going to be a half game out. and we play the rockies later this week.

by sadison bummedgarner on Jul 20, 2009 6:56 PM PDT reply actions

…so we’ll be 4.5 games out at the end of the week

These are the kind of games that make the post game wrap awful.

by SFGuy on Jul 20, 2009 6:57 PM PDT reply actions

These are the kind of games where I really count on the wrap!

by sadison bummedgarner on Jul 20, 2009 6:59 PM PDT up reply actions

Wow — great news…Kruk & Kuip know something and just gave a eulogy to Richie

by nofreetime on Jul 20, 2009 6:59 PM PDT reply actions

Kruk just described all the things LOLrilia should be doing rather than playing. Good ideas all.

by North Side Chicago Expatriate Giants Fan on Jul 20, 2009 6:59 PM PDT reply actions

Why are we talking about roster moves?

Was a trade made?

Why couldn't McCovey have hit the ball just three feet higher??

by tobias on Jul 20, 2009 7:01 PM PDT reply actions

If Sadowski pitches tomorrow, as is forecast, a roster move will have to be made

by Merope on Jul 20, 2009 7:02 PM PDT up reply actions

If Sadowski’s in single A…. wouldn’t they have already sent him to Atlolanta?

by Merope on Jul 20, 2009 7:03 PM PDT up reply actions

Yeah but they haven’t sent anyone back and don’t have to until just before the game.

by North Side Chicago Expatriate Giants Fan on Jul 20, 2009 7:04 PM PDT up reply actions

You're right, of course...

Silly question.

Why couldn't McCovey have hit the ball just three feet higher??

by tobias on Jul 20, 2009 7:03 PM PDT up reply actions

Really, I don’t care if he completely struggles and it temporarily hurts his development. I just want to see Bengie go.

by North Side Chicago Expatriate Giants Fan on Jul 20, 2009 7:03 PM PDT up reply actions

I don't wish injury on anybody

so I hope he gets a hang nail that forces us to put him on the 60 day DL
