Great to see Neal get some press
also two more for the Howie Kendrick category… Adrian Cardenas and Hank Conger. Didn’t see either of those coming.
Adopted brother of Jason Jarvis.
On the flip side, Logan Forsythe looks exactly like Logan Forsythe should look.

it is. His real name is Hyun Choi Conger. I assume he is of mixed race, or adopted

on a side note...
It is a good thing he is Korean and not Vietnamese, otherwise some color man might be set himself for a racist joke

Apparently none of you remember him from the Little League World Series. Kid hit like 8 HR’s. He was a beast.

Also a Blast from the Past mention for Joe Brochard.
Wilber Bucardo: Carlos Silva with a younger brother.
With a mention of Josh Phelps and Dallas McPherson. I forgot about those guys. Remember back in February when McCovenites were proposing opening day lineups like this:

SS Renteria
LF Lewis
C Molina
1B Phelps
3B Sandoval
CF Rowand
2B Frandsen

I want to read and article soon titled Giants’ Thomas Neal no longer guarded Eastern League secret
Do we need to go on a hunger strike or something?

He may not be guarded, but that’s no guarantee he can hit the jump shot.

That’s it! Katie bar the door for this 79 win team is star crossed! And I am loving it.
Curious if the Posey skip to AAA had much to do with the difficult hitting environment in Connecticut; if so, that might help explain Neal’s prolonged stay in San Jose.

I think it’s two reasons:
1) Jackson Williams is the backup catcher of the future, and they didn’t want to fuck with him at AA (yes, this is retarded since he isn’t actually good at anything despite the scouting reports)
2) They’re hoping he’ll be ready early next season to take over the MLB job, so aggressive is necessary
Proud father of Juan Carlos Perez. Think Albert Pujols at a position to be determined.
@#$% Juan Uribe. Dios es grande.
I think it had more to do with Posey’s advanced hitting skills than anything. He was already head and shoulders above the Cal League and an aggressive promotion was in order. Kinda like when Lincecum jumped to AAA in his second pro year. What did he have to prove in AA? Why not give them a baptism by fire before they hit the Show?

Agreed, and I really don’t see anything wrong with an aggressive promotion for an advanced prospect who came from college. Especially if they’ve shown great performance since signing.
I’d be disappointed if he wasn’t pushed in this manner for all the reasons you said.
