For some reason I’m expecting Cain to not be on it, even though given some of the people he’s already listed that would make no sense. I’m looking forward to the rest though.

I can dig Pablo not being in the top 50… if he finishes the year well and starts next year well, then he should be on that kind of list though.

No

There are several teams in the NL that won’t upgrade their payroll such as Milwakue, Florida, Pitt, Cinci, Houston, Washington, Colorado

So it’s unfair to the NL that they have to use a 4th outfielder/backup corner infielder as a DH in interleague play as opposed to having 15 million to spend on Matsui, Ortiz, Thome, Guerrero

The winning% in interleague has a lot to do with the DH thing you were talking about. I haven’t seen this years numbers but the last 2, NL teams were at 500 at home (where there’s no DH) and WAY below 500 on the road.

I can’t explain the ASG though

Brandon Crawford: Your SF Giants 2011 Opening Day starting SS!

by Azmanz on Jul 14, 2009 6:31 PM PDT up reply actions

yes that is what I said - it was .500

they countered with “teams play better at home”

but I think it neutralizes the DH effect at NL parks

in other words, the disparity in win/loss record in NL parks has more to do with the DH than homefield advantage.

by GobbleforCyoung on Jul 14, 2009 6:35 PM PDT up reply actions

Right..

So I think the AL is better because they are spending their money in a better 9th hitter rather than a 7th inning reliever.
