Any Giants historians out there?
Sorry for re-posting this from yesterday's GameDay but I need to solve the mystery. It's not that I want to buy this hat; I'd like to figure out its meaning.
I found this hat at a discount store in Redwood City. As you can see it looks like a Syracuse logo with the word "Giants" in smaller letters below.
Did Nike make up this "Cooperstown Classics" or is it from an older minor league team or a Negro League team or just a forgotten SF Giants design? Please help satisfy my curiosity.

looks like they have that style for the other teams as well. i don’t think it’s anything more than a design nike is marketing as vintage.

Well, that link was supposed to take you to every team. Search that site for “Cooperstown Old Stadium Hat” and you’ll find several other teams.

Weird that they use “S” for the Giants and “D” for the Tigers but “Y” for the Yankees, “C” for the Cardinals.
Meet my new son: Sundrendy Windster, coming soon to a minor league near you.

Giants pitching coach Dave Righetti. "I treat Timmy differently from most pitchers: I leave him alone."
There's 3 ways to do something: the right way, the wrong way, and the Max Power/ Ginats Way...
