Sanchez ups his trade value?
So do you think that this makes Sanchez trade-able again? Or do we now think he is un-trade-able? What do you think this does to his trade value?

haha, you can’t trade a guy after a no-no can you? I wonder if Pitt still thinks Dirty isn’t enough in return for Freddy.

Well, with the mechanical adjustment: if it seems to stick, and it might, hell yes his price has gone up a lot.

I don’t think he lowered his trade value

Sabean wouldn’t trade Sanchez after this game. Now he’s going to be afraid Sanchez is going to go all Liriano-like after the deal. Whoever he was talking Sanchez to before today will now hear the name of some minor leaguer like Sosa or even Alderson.

With a handle like Brian Bokake, you should know the attraction of rosterbation.

Let’s hope he doesn’t go the way of Anibal Sanchez.

He’ll get one or two more starts before the deadline. Let resurrect this conversation then

One things’s for sure, all eyes will be on his next start.

yeah, but it’s really not a valid test. We’ve seen Sanchez go a month without pitching a bad game before, so even if he’s lights out until the deadline it’s not a sure sign he’s finally turned it around. Still, when Randy Johnson says that’s the best slider he’s ever seen, and the guy comes out throwing 95 and up, you really need to think a lot more than twice before dealing him.

If we can’t dump Aurilia b/c his father died (RIP), then we can’t trade Sanchez after a no-hitter.

This is a perfect example of what Grant wrote about… if he’s pitching well, nobody wants to trade him. If he’s pitching poorly, nobody wants to trade for him.

Look at the post A.S. schedule.
The Giants can not be dealing anyone that could start that is on the 25 man roster tell the last half of Sept. This includes either the good Dirty or the Bad Dirty.

If Johnson gets healthy
the team could trade Sanchez and stick Johnson in there (TWSS) and bring TBS back up.
Not my preference, but they could do that

Joe Martinez was superb last night at Fresno as well. They do have other options if they decided to trade Sanchez, but let’s face it, Sadowski and Martinez do not have arms like Sanchez has.

I get what you’r saying but to go that route the Giants would need add a extreme top level bat to punch the “O” up enough to play that angle. Say at least an Uggla or probably better. I just don’t see that happening in the next 3 weeks.

Anyone with stuff as good as Sanchez’s at his age, should not be dealt for someone “decent”. I’d rather see Alderson go at this point, no hitter aside. Sanchez has shown his upside in the bigs, and its very high. Deal Alderson if it makes sense, his value’s probably higher anyway.

Yeah, this makes sense to me. If he trades Alderson though, it better be for someone good. If all Sabean is talking about is Hairston type players, he should keep his phone in his pocket.

He probably should just turn off the phone. Don’t throw away pitching just for the sake of “adding a bat”. Unless its an impact bat (Adrian Gonzales, Alex Rios, the only two that really seem somewhat feasable, but not really), just keep the pitching and let the talent in the minors develope and worry about it in the offseason. This team has a fighting chance as it is.
