I guess he could do both. The Futures Game is the Sunday before the MLB All Star Game, and IIRC the EL All Star Game is on that Wednesday.

Is Paterson a legit prospect? How hard does he throw? At 23, is he too old for AA ball? He’s working on back to back good seasons now, with this year shaping up as a great year.
He was drafted in 2007, no? He looked great in the CWS.

Looks like he might have a future as a LOOGY: he’s faced 212 lefties in his career, struck out 87, and given up just 21 hits. This year lefties are 3-for-65 (.052) against him.
