As a Marlins fan living in Reno, I have a couple things to say here.

A.) Marlins vs Giants, you have to be drunk to want to go.
B.) Friday night after a long work week, you better believe their drunk.

I went to the Marlins Giants double header in Miami last summer, and you better believe most the fans were wasted by the time the first rain delay was over. Also, they don’t anticipate fans, so they shut down whole sections of the stadium to save on expenses, so the 12,000 who do show up get grouped so it doesn’t seem as full on panoramic shots. I haven’t been atop left field scoreboard since Pujols still played the out field and they last won the WS.

Sidenote

My fella gets to sit in VIP seating at the SJ Giants game tonight with a group from work. While I’m home monitoring a sleepover with a couple of six year olds. And he doesn’t particularly like baseball. What’s wrong with this picture?

It’s really his only fault. And he doesn’t whine when I watch a million games each season, and he never complains when I buy another jersey. And he’ll go to Giants games with me when I want. Plus, he got me a BLB autographed ball and the Crazy Crab bobblehead. So he’s okay.

But it was bittersweet as I tried to explain to him who Buster Posey, AnVil and Conor Gillespie are in preparation for his game.

I am planning on going to the SJ Giants day game with my girls on June 17th, though.

You know, even if we have a craptastic team, we have kick ass announcers.

Jonathan Sanchez. He's left-handed, like Barry Zito. His fastball breaks 80, unlike Zito.

He made a massive overhaul to his mechanics. Baggs wrote about it.

The next person who relates Rowand’s hitting to being put in the lead off spot is getting killed in their sleep. It’s so retarded to think there’s any causal link.
