Around SBN: Jeremy Lin Sets Assist High In Easy Win Over Sacramento

Source: Rotoworld

Mets claimed LHP Pat Misch off of waivers from the San Francisco Giants.

Misch will report to Triple-A Buffalo. With only Pedro Feliciano as a weapon against lefties -- Ken Takahashi, the second lefty in the New York bullpen, is more effective against righties -- Misch could get a chance at some point this season.

The Mets didn’t watch to misch an opportunity.

Unless Pat Misch signs a $24 million contract with the Mets, this roster move is insufficient retribution for Armando Benitez and Edgardo Alfonso being foisted upon the Giants.

I can’t wait until Jerry Manuel brings him into a big game with the Phillies thinking he’ll get out Chase Utley, Ryan Howard and Raul Ibanez.

Good Freakin Luck

Good luck to Misch, but I think that when Mets fans realize that he’s not QUITE Feliciano, they will rend his flesh to bits.

Wait, maybe that’s CHUDs. Same difference I guess, but in any event he’s gonna be surprised to be booed the first time he stinks up Citi Field.

the Mets want everybody these days. They have lots of injuries, the Phillies are hot, and they’re panicking. I think Omar Minaya should talk to Sabean about what happens when you sign a bunch of old players and players with histories of health issues. Minaya even signs guys that Sabean gets rid of for being too old like Moises Alou!
