The “Golden Baseball League?” Sounds like the players should all be senior citizens. Hopefully he’ll avoid the one bad outing that his brother had that has put him into Bochy’ witness protection program.

Nah. It’s a pretty cool league that’s been around for a while. One of the McCoven worked for the league office last year. They’re expanding and they might take over the High Desert Cal League site if the Mavericks bail after this season, a strong possibility. They have a Winter League too. I bought a game worn Samurai Bears jersey from the GBL website, a collector’s item as the Bears played only one season. I have the jersey of the Bears’ only Gold Glove winner in their history, second baseman Kenichi Miura.
