I will refrain from speculation as there are some tragically unsavory possibilities and the circumstances of his death are not yet established – his agent seems to be insisting on natural causes.

My arc of David Carradine watching

As a young ’un, I liked Kung Fu.

As an older one, I decided that it was lame that a white guy was playing lead in that show, so I kind of didn’t like David Carradine anymore.

Older still, I got past that, and thorougly loved Carradine in Kill Bill, one of my favorite movies of all time (parts 1 and 2 both).

RIP, “Bill”.

Kill Bill is fantastic

“You’re not a terrible person. You’re a wonderful person. You’re my favorite person. But every once in a while you can be a real cunt.”

I made a joke to a friend that I would poke my boss with a plastic knife today in honor of Mr. Carradine. My boss’ name is Bill. I am not having his baby, however.

I love the second one more than the first one. The final scenes with Bill and the Bride are so sweet and touching. I couldn’t write anything that comes close to how wonderful those scenes are.

It should have been Bruce Lee in that show, but I guess it’s not Carradine’s fault he was given the role. He was cool though.
