New Blog: World Soccer Digest for Soccer Fans!

Got this from the Cardinals gameday thread from yesterday's game. It's organized by team and I counted 8 Giants who were on the roster then and one unrated player that later joined the team.

This looks like someone just typed a list onto a webpage.

Merkin Valdez? Manuel Mateo? A rose by any other name...

That's what I was thinking

It was interesting as it’s the first “leak” of the list that I’d seen. However I would expect that when I was looking at a list of the positive tests that I wouldn’t recognize most of the names. I’d think that it would be most that I wouldn’t know and a few of the superstars and not the other way around, so I do tend to agree with you.

lol @ MLB if that list is true

But for some reason it does seem suspect. It’s kinda just a who’s who of baseball.

by FairweatherFan on Jun 30, 2009 6:57 AM PDT reply actions   0 recs

It also seems suspect that it’s organized by team, but that’s just me.

Wouldn’t that be exactly how the list would have been compiled, though?

Maybe, but it’s also how someone would have typed it up by going through the 2003 rosters.

Yes, this list is like 90% high profile players. I would expect a larger population of scrubs expecially at the back of the bullpen.

Weren’t the “roids” Bonds and Giambi taking undetectable? Even by the IOC standards they couldn’t detect them then. They can now, I think, but this was a proactive list, or a list of positives at the time. This is a rehash of the Mitchell report names plus a few

This.

I was under the impression that Bonds specifically was NOT one of the names on the list, for this vvery reason.

This probably isn’t the actual 2003 list but I would guess there’s about a 95% likelihood that the actual list will get leaked sometime in the next few months.

Man, I wish I had that sarcasm picture right about now.

Wow, I think that was like a meta-comment or something. I sarcastically “posted” a non-existent picture of sarcasm.

It’s very sketchy but there’s not a name on that “list” that I can look at 100% and say no he didn’t take them. LOL @ Steroid era. Good job at screwing the pooch Bud.
